Couples make their final decisions on Temptation Island South Africa E12
It’s a wrap! The four couples have officially come to the end of their romantic journey in the Temptation Island South Africa finale. While they were separated, the men and women were placed in different villas in which they lived and went on dates with attractive singles of the opposite sex – better known as the hot singles.
These singles didn’t hold back on enticing the four men and women, and in episode 12, the couples are reunited at the final bonfire, where they’ll decide if they want to remain together, leave paradise with a hot single, or end their relationship. We watched Estelle and Justin leave together in episode 11. Which of the three remaining couples will continue dating? Let’s find out.
Warning: Spoilers ahead for the 12th episode of Temptation Island South Africa.
Temptation Island South Africa finale: Where do we go from here?
The episode begins on the cliffhanger from episode 11, with Precious and Grant at their last bonfire session. The tension is so thick that you could cut it with a knife. For Grant, the decision is clear: he loves Precious. In fact, his feelings for her have intensified since they were separated. Precious, on the other hand, is still confused about her choice. Does she pick Grant, the man she’s been dating for the past four years, even though the spark in their relationship has faded, or does she go with Dain, the hot single she’s forged a bond with?
Precious breaks down. “I didn’t want to hurt you [by kissing Dain] but I did. I didn’t want to hurt Dain [by keeping her guard up] and I did. A lot of the times, I felt [terrible] because there are two amazing guys in my life and I’m hurting both of them,” says Precious with tears streaming.
Then it’s time: Phat Joe tells them to make their decision, and while Precious is still uncertain, she chooses to leave paradise with Grant. “I’m so over this,” says Precious as they leave. We can’t wait to see whether they are still together at the reunion episode in a couple of weeks.

Nothing happened between Dimpho and Sifiso
Next in the hot seat are Sifiso and Musa. Before they’re reunited, we revisit their journey. Sifiso was a frontrunner among the hot singles and most of the ladies were attracted to him, which often distracted him. According to the ladies, Sifiso led them on just to leave them hanging.
The likes of Palesa and Eve left paradise very disappointed about how things transpired between themselves and Sifiso. Dimpho, on the other hand, although chosen for the final overnight date, found herself in an awkward position when Sifiso suddenly gave her the silent treatment after a very cosy night together. The silent treatment did seem strange as the two seemed to have enjoyed each other’s company and even shared a room.
In contrast, Musa respected her relationship with Sifiso so much so that she didn’t connect with any of the hot singles. Sure, there was Tats, who she took on dates, but nothing grew from their bond.
In episode 12, Sifiso and Musa are brought together to discuss their journeys but what follows is interesting. When asked whether he broke any of his and Musa’s deal-breakers by kissing or having sex with anyone, Sifiso confidently responds: “No. I didn’t even cuddle with anyone”. Which is not entirely true as he did cuddle with Dimpho at some point during their date.
Sifiso is then asked whether anything happened during his overnight date with Dimpho. He responds: “Although Dimpho and I shared a room, we had a pillow [between us]. I was just sleeping, and she was sleeping the whole night,” says Sifiso, before adding, “You know me with my sleep, I don’t want anyone disturbing my beauty sleep.”
Musa takes him at his word, and they leave paradise together.

It’s over!
Nthabi and MJ are last to the stand, and if Precious and Grant’s reunion was tense, this get-together is beyond awkward. Firstly, MJ tries to hug Nthabi but she ducks. What’s worse is that Nthabi doesn’t even look at MJ until the end of their discussion. So, where did it all go wrong? Well, within the first week of the experience, MJ fell in love with Bontle, leaving Nthabi with no other option but to check out of their relationship since he’d done the same.
At their bonfire session, Nthabi decides to leave alone and she’s dismissed from paradise. MJ chooses to continue dating Bontle and they leave together. “You’ve made the right choice because I’m the perfect girl for you,” says Bontle.
