ENO Episode 3 recap: Abena is getting dangerous
Abena’s plans for her kids come from a good place, but evil thrives when humans get desperate as we see in this ENO episode 3 recap.
Tessa doesn’t like Chris, the wealthy widower her mum thinks is perfect for her. She loves Jerry, the broke guy who works at the school she teaches; they enjoy lunch together and have plans for tomorrow. He’s ambitious, has dreams, and works towards a better life.
But Abena wants a ready man. She doesn’t care if her child likes the person or not. If he’s rich, he’s good enough. This desperation pushes her to orchestrate an attack on Jerry, who beat his attackers, landing one in a coma and has now been arrested for his troubles.
Back home, Abena forces Tessa to visit Chris alone in a bid to accelerate things. Fortunately, the stubborn Safoowa insists on going with her. Chris tries to kiss Tessa, and while she doesn’t welcome it, she’s careful not to make him angry with a rejection. But Safoowa, who never cares about such politics, springs up from behind yelling at Chris, after which she takes Tessa home, only to be rebuked by their mum.
Meanwhile, Jerry is in a cell suffering for nothing. Instead of Abena coming clean about her involvement, she flames the fire by refusing to inform Tessa of Jerry’s predicament when someone calls to tell them. Instead, she writes a breakup letter to her daughter for Jerry. The ultimate move to make Tessa forget her true love and fall into Chris’s arms.
Will Abena succeed with her plan to keep Jerry away? Only time will tell.
