The “Two for the price of one campaign” (hereinafter referred to as the “Festive Campaign”) terms and conditions recorded/specified below are supplementary to the Showmax terms and conditions – South Africa and Lesotho and Showmax terms and conditions – Global and apply to the use of the Showmax Service during the Campaign Period (4 October 2021-10 January 2022).

Terms & Conditions

The “Two for the price of one campaign” (hereinafter referred to as the “Festive Campaign”) terms and conditions recorded/specified below are supplementary to the  Showmax terms and conditions – South Africa and Lesotho and Showmax terms and conditions – Global and apply to the use of the Showmax Service during the Campaign Period (4 October 2021-10 January 2022).

Please read these terms and conditions carefully.

1.    General Information

1.1.      The Festive Campaign is available in 

  • South Africa and Lesotho 
  • Kenya 
  • Nigeria 
  • Ghana 
  • Uganda 
  • ROA 

and is in relation to the Showmax Pro, Showmax Pro Mobile, Showmax Mobile and Showmax All devices Subscription Plans (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Showmax Subscriptions”).

1.2.    The Festive Campaign is a time-limited offer which applies within the Campaign Period and is linked with a noteworthy discount on the Showmax Subscriptions.

1.3.    The Campaign Period is the period from 4 October 2021 to 10 January 2022.

1.4.   You can enjoy the Festive Campaign by subscribing to the Showmax Service during the Campaign Period.

1.5.    The Festive Campaign applies to Showmax Service customers using a valid payment instrument/method; and customers who are eligible as stated in paragraph 2 (Festive Campaign Customer Eligibility).

2.    Festive Campaign Customer Eligibility

The Festive Campaign is available to customers who receive the Festive Campaign communication from Showmax and meet one of the following requirements:

2.1.      Customers who have never used or subscribed to the Showmax Service;

2.2.  Existing Showmax Service customers who have never saved or added a payment instrument on their Showmax Service account; who add/save a payment instrument on to their Showmax Service account within the Campaign Period; and pay for the Showmax Service in accordance with these terms and conditions of the Festive Campaign.

2.3.  Former Showmax Service customers who stopped using the Showmax Service recently/before the commencement of the Festive Campaign can enjoy the Festive Campaign.

2.4.  Selected Existing Showmax Service customers who subscribed using a valid payment instrument/method.

4. Festive Campaign Limitations

4.1.   Customers are not permitted to simultaneously enjoy the benefits of both the Festive Campaign and the Mastercard Loyalty Campaign.

4.2 Customers who have taken up the Mastercard two-year 10% Discount on a recurring Mastercard Card (the Mastercard Loyalty Campaign)  and have taken up the Mastercard Loyalty Campaign and thereafter add the Festive Campaign code to their Showmax Service Account, will automatically have their 10% reduction under the Mastercard Loyalty Campaign removed from their Showmax Service account, for the period in which they activate/take on the Festive Campaign. 

4.3 One Festive Campaign discount per user.

4.4 Customers are only eligible for the Festive Campaign via the dedicated campaign journey provided within the communication from Showmax.

4.5 Customers are not eligible for the Festive Campaign via the country-level Showmax.com welcome pages.

5. Pricing & Payments

The Festive Campaign is linked to a noteworthy/special price for the Showmax Subscriptions as shown on the campaign pages in each region. The Festive Campaign is configured to automatically enroll customers into monthly recurring payments by default on the anniversary of the second month (if the customer chose to use a recurring payment instrument, unless the customer opted out). Certain payment methods do not support the opt-out option from the recurring payments. In such cases, to disable monthly recurring payments customers are required to cancel their subscription before the second anniversary of the monthly billing (before the end of the Free Period).

5.1 Showmax Subscription pricing is subject to change. As such, any change in the pricing payable for any Showmax product shall be brought to the customer’s attention on the payment page before the conclusion of their transaction.

5.2 Showmax Service customers get 31 additional days (Free Period) to the prepaid month when they sign up. For example: if a Showmax Service customer purchases on 15 July, the Showmax Service customer’s Free Period shall start on 15 August and will last until 15 September. On 15 September, the Showmax Service customer is then automatically enrolled into monthly recurring payments (if a selected recurring payment instrument has been used). In order to not be automatically enrolled into recurring payments, the Showmax Service customer must cancel their subscription before the end of the Free Period.
