GALLERY: Hlomu and Mqhele’s gorgeous wedding in The Wife
Like much of their relationship, Hlomu and Mqhele’s wedding is full of highs and lows in The Wife series on Showmax. Just before Hlomu walks down the aisle, her cop friend sends her CCTV footage from a recent heist. There she sees the Zulu brothers pulling the heist. Mqhele is also there wearing the watch she bought for him.

Tired of lies, she gives Mqhele his ring back and as she’s about to leave the room, Mqhele confesses. The brothers walk in and learn that Hlomu knows everything. Qhawe pleads with them, “We don’t kill women”.
The brothers put their guns down and they leave Hlomu alone in the room. Mqhele is certain that Hlomu hates him, and she won’t marry him.

But moments later, she arrives in her wedding gown, and the wedding proceeds.

What stole the show was Mqhele’s vows that had everyone smiling from ear to ear.

“In my life, I haven’t been given many things. I’ve actually lost many things. Never did I think I’d be standing here, looking at the best thing that’s ever happened to me. You are my everything. I have my faults, you know that too but you love me regardless, more than I deserve.”
