Gomora S2: Ashes to ashes, dust to dust! Don meets his demise
Episodes 148 to 150 left fans reeling in shock as Don’s reign came to an end after a lengthy run in the streets of Gomora. While some viewers are struggling to come to terms with what they had witnessed, others rejoiced.
Many loved to hate Don
Don played the role of a hot-headed gang leader who came back to make amends with the mother of his child. When things didn’t go well, he went back to a life of crime and took over the streets of Gomora. Don forcefully took over Mam’Sonto’s workshop, together with her gang, and then moved in to live in her house, causing more pain to Mam’Sonto’s children, Thathi and Pretty. He even sent people to finish off Mam’Sonto in hospital after she was shot at her workshop. No wonder people loved to hate his character.
Don continued to be a distraction in Zodwa’s relationship with Bongani. Every time the couple took their relationship to the next level, Don came up with ways to leave them wondering if they were meant to be together. Not only did he force Bongani to leave Gomora for good, but he also stole from Bongani’s shisa nyama and sent his gang to rob and beat him up, not once but twice!
Zodwa ends things
Thathi came up with a plot to get rid of Don once and for all. She used Don’s most trusted men – Ntokozo and Stompie – to set the plan in motion. Don realised that he was being led into a trap, then cornered Ntokozo, drove him to a river and forced the teenager to dig his own grave!

MaZet eventually arrives on the scene and wrestles with Don. His gun goes off, leaving her injured.

But while Don was pointing his gun at MaZet, from afar Zodwa pulled the trigger killed the father of her child.
Teddy had earlier on purchased a gun to protect Zodwa – now Zodwa used that same gun to save Ntokozo and Melusi, who was also there to plead with Don to not kill his son, Ntokozo.

Don’s demise met with mixed emotions
Since the death of Don, many viewers voiced their feelings about Don’s death via social media. While some viewers are happy that he’s dead, others appreciate Don’s contribution to the show – noting how he brought drama that made the Gomora storyline more interesting.
