Laycon’s inner circle: meet the crew
We have seen Laycon, the reality star, the man and the rapper, but what about the people ensuring he’s succeeding in different facets of life? The team comprises family, friends, and associates; they were with him before BBNaija, helped him win the show, and helped him launch his musical career. Let’s meet the Laycon crew.
Yomi Agbeleshe
Who is he? Brother and personal manager.
How do they know each other? Well, they’re brothers. Yomi calls himself the King of Lagos, and he’s the party starter in the Laycon crew. Need drinks, girls and all prerequisites for Lagos parties? Yomi is your guy. He’s also one of Laycon’s confidants; they talk about almost everything, even on the show. It was Yomi who Laycon discussed not telling his ex-girlfriend about Big Brother and apologising for that.
What does he think of Laycon? He’s a goal-getter
Temit Gomez
Who is he? Manager
How do they know each other? They met circa 2014 when Laycon was trying to go pro and his zeal pulled Gomez, who Laycon fondly calls Gome, in. When Laycon landed a record deal, he brought Gome along to work as his manager and they have been inseparable since – planning together to launch Laycon to the world.
What does he think of Laycon? He’s real. He’s himself. He’s free.
Bisi Olaniyan
Who is he? Best friend and road manager
How do they know each other? Bisi and Laycon met in secondary school and have built a friendship over the years. He understands Laycon in a way a brother (Yomi, for example) won’t.
What does he think of Laycon? That he’s well-prepared for fame.
Tariela
Who is she? Social media manager.
How do they know each other? Laycon says he’s known Tariela since 2016. How and where they met isn’t precisely revealed on the show, but you can guess. A rapper and a brand strategist operating in the music industry, they probably met at a party or an industry event. She’s one of the team members who has been there before Big Brother, was instrumental during his stay in the house and is still with him.
What does she think of Laycon? Laycon is a very determined and dedicated person.
Sore
Who is he? Scheduling and booking manager
How do they know each other? In episode 3 Sore explains that unlike the rest of the crew, he and Laycon didn’t know each other too well until he won Big Brother Naija, when Laycon’s schedule blew up. Sore handles the calendars, the itenaries and the logistics for Laycon, making sure he gets enough time to record between guest appearances and commitments.
What does he think of Laycon? He’s an artist.
