Lui Maar Op, Belinda S1-2
Beloved actress Brümilda van Rensburg stars in this new kykNET series that takes a light-hearted look at the challenges of ageing.
Ian en Ander is a small corner shop in George belonging to Ian Jantjies, a middle-aged man who swapped the buzz of the big city for the peace of a small town. But peace is something he doesn’t find there, because the three “older” people who work there are giving him grey hairs.
Belinda Swanepoel, a formerly famous Afrikaans actress, spends more time in front of her mirror than in front of her cash register. Annetjie Nel is a straight-laced and conservative baker who worries more about the shop’s troubles than about the daily cake. Then there’s the poor, charming Frans Wessels, who tries to broker peace between Annetjie and Belinda, but seldom succeeds.
Together, this unusual team must take on the challenges of age and learn that life is full of second chances, and that you’re never too old to have fun.
The cast includes Annelisa Weiland (Annetjie), Eric Nobbs (Frans), Duncan Johnson (Ian) en Carmen Maarman (Maggie).
