Meet the cast of Ifalakhe

Ifalakhe has had audiences on the edge of their seats with its enthralling story of two tribes at war. Things are made even more complicated when Khombindlela, king of the powerful Okuhle tribe, finds himself at the mercy of a prophecy. Is this the Khanya people’s chance to get their revenge for years of cattle raids and killing of their women and children?

New episodes are available to stream every Sunday from 20:00, express from the broadcast on Mzansi Magic.

A-grade actors

When it comes to the selection of actors who were tasked to portray the characters on Ifalakhe, Stained Glass Productions made sure they selected the cream of the crop.

Here’s a list of the cast members we’ve come to know, even though some of their characters were killed off in the early stages of the show.

Khombindlela (Bheki Sibiya)

A just and arrogant king with seven daughters and no son. Desperate to have an heir that will rule after his reign, Khombindlela is happy to be gifted with two sons. However, because of his offence against the gods, the birth of his sons comes with a prophecy of doom.

Busani (Mxolisi Zuma)

Busani is a power-hungry and dishonest man who will sacrifice everything (including his family) to become a king. His insecurities amplify his evil ways, leading him to become the most feared king of the Okuhle tribe as his reign plunges the nation into chaos and destruction.

Ibanathi (Ntokozo Ngcobo)

Ibanathi, Queen of the Khanya, is not your average monarch, being pampered all day and letting her servants do the legwork. With a strong head on her shoulders, she is the ultimate shero of this production. Ibanathi is definitely a feminist, but she’s also a woman with a broken heart – devastated by the death of her husband (King Ndukuzakhe) who was murdered by Khombindlela. In her quest for revenge, Ibanathi causes havoc for the Okuhle kingdom.

Nomusa (Sthandwa Nzuza)

Nomusa, the mother of Busani, is also blinded by greed and jealousy. Her love for witchcraft grants her all that her heart desires, but it all comes at a high cost.

Phikiwe (Noxolo Mathula)

The warrior Princess Phikiwe is three months old when we first meet her. She is the daughter of the late King Ndukuzakhe and Queen Ibanathi. Fast forward, and we’re then introduced to a grown Phikiwe who inherits her mother’s grudges and is just as determined to topple the Okuhle kingdom.

Ngcuka (Thandanani Qwabe)

Ngcuka is the younger brother of King Khombindlela. Banned from the kingdom, Ngcuka returns after hearing the news of his brother’s death.

Filled with greed and the hunger for power, Ngcuka is also determined to become the new king of the Khombindlela tribe, but his plans are cut short, and it’s all thanks to Queen Ibanathi.
