Ripple Effect: The First Wave & The Race for the Cure

Early last year, while the rest of us were still trying to figure out how to respond to an unprecedented global pandemic, a team of filmmakers were already springing into action to document the Coronavirus outbreak and how it impacted us all. Their first film, Ripple Effect: The First Wave, was released in July, and now the one-hour follow-up, Ripple Effect: The Race for the Cure, picks up the story.

Kevin Fox, CEO of Canada-based production company RMI, who produced the two films in collaboration with Cactus Tree Entertainment in the US, says Race for the Cure examines how the world is healing from the pandemic, looking at vaccine research and distribution. “We are fortunate to have access to the very best medical, economical and societal experts to help explain this novel disease and show how society can cope with, and eventually heal from, this novel virus. In our second episode, we demonstrate the vast global effort to find a cure and demonstrate how communities come together to showcase the best of humanity.”
