Showmax Premier League: your weekly watchlist: 14-20 January

Who would have thought that come mid-season, Nottingham Forest would be in the Premier League title race?

Well, halfway through the season, here we are.

And this week, Forest can put a serious marker down, should they beat league leaders Liverpool. Nuno Espírito Santo’s men will be gunning for all three points when they take on a high-flying Liverpool in what is expected to be a fiery contest.

The two face off in a titanic showdown. Liverpool have the opportunity to extend their lead at the top, while Nottingham Forest have the chance to cut the gap.

The game, which takes place on Tuesday night at 22:00 and will be shown live on Showmax Premier League, could very well shape the title race.

Arne Slot’s men know that they have to take all three points having disappointed in their last Premier League game against Man United, while Forest will be determined to show that this season has been anything but a fluke and are well and truly in the title race.

But the action doesn’t stop there.

We also have the feisty North London Derby this week as Tottenham Hotspur travel to the Emirates hoping to get one over their bitter rivals when they face off on Wednesday. There are plenty of mouthwatering Premier League fixtures to keep football fans busy throughout the week and weekend.

And in local football, Kaizer Chiefs take on Sekhukhune United while Cape Town City face off against Richards Bay.

Catch all the action live on Showmax Premier League.
