On Sunday, 14 July 2019, the history books will record, England narrowly beat New Zealand’s Black Caps in what cricketing website Wisden and many other pundits have called “the greatest cricket match ever played“.

It’s not exactly a spoiler to say that England won in a Super Over at the tail-end of a nail-biting match that left the two teams tied. And while the English may have invented the game, and hosted the ICC Cricket World Cup five times, it’s the very first time they’ve managed to call themselves World Champions.
