We are all special, and we all belong! Takalani Sesame turns 21 this year, and to celebrate, Showmax is bringing the beloved local take on Sesame Street (the multi-award-winning US mega-show that’s been running for over 50 years and picked up 14 Emmy nominations this year alone) to our screens from this month.

Earlier this year, Takalani Sesame added a SAFTA Award for Best Children’s Programme to its accolades, which include a Peabody Award and the formal appointment of HIV+ character Kami as UNICEF’s Champion for Children.
