Season 2 of The Wife saw the Zulu family going through numerous adjustments that really shook up their world and now with The Wife Season 3 approaching, we can’t help but get excited about what lies ahead! 

With two successful seasons already done The Wife has proven to be one of the most captivating telenovelas on screen. We’re taking this time to rewatch the first two seasons. Here are the moments that left us in awe.

Zandile finally returns home

In season 2 we see Zandile set free after serving 10 years in jail for the murder of her mother. While she struggles to adjust to her new life outside prison, she also makes her mark as one of the strongest matriarchs in the Zulu family. However, this journey is met with many challenges.

While Zandile tries to win back her children’s love and to rebuild her marriage with Nkosana, she also struggles to establish herself in the Zulu family when there’s another woman, Hlomu, who has assumed that role and acts as a mother to her kids.

Nqoba gets shot

Since the first season, the Majola brother’s feud with Zulu brothers was no secret. However, our hate for them reached an all-time high when they shot our fave, Nqoba during a taxi feud. Apart from all the abusive scenes between Mqhele and Hlomu, seeing Nqoba get shot was probably the best yet worst scene of season 2.

Of course, the Zulu brothers got their revenge by ensuring the Majola brothers met their demise.

Qhawe meets Naledi

What started as a confrontation between Qhawe and Naledi in a parking lot turned into a relationship we all love. The two sealed their union when the Tswana doctor came to the Zulu mansion and received a warm welcome from the family.

From sudden visits to her workplace to showering her with gifts, Qhawe has successfully swept Naledi off her feet. Oh, and of course, we’re all here for all their love scenes! And yes, Zandi and Nkosana’s love-making scene was our highlight of this season as well.

Naledi gets kidnapped

Season 2 ended with a cliffhanger: who kidnapped Naledi?

In the last moments of Season 2 we see Qhawe preparing a romantic dinner for his lady. Little does he know that moments later, he’d be fighting off his lover’s kidnappers. Unfortunately for him, Naledi disappears into the night without a trace.

With Naledi missing and the Zulu brothers’ crimes now front-page news because of their many heists, the third season of The Wife promises to be the most explosive one yet!
