The Good Wife S1-7
Inspired by real-life political scandals involving married men, this smash-hit drama series follows Alicia Florrick, wife of a disgraced state’s attorney. She has to pick up the pieces of her family and revive her law career after 13 years as a stay-at-home mom.
With plotlines torn from the headlines, this highly rated series isn’t afraid to tackle issues head-on. Julianna Margulies stars as Alicia alongside a great cast that includes Christine Baranski as Diane Lockhart, who went on to star in the spin-off series, The Good Fight.
Of the first season, the New York Daily News said: “Margulies puts a powerful combination of cold fury, bewilderment and tenacity into Alicia Florrick,” and of the finale, the Orlando Sentinel said: ‘The Good Wife ended spectacularly in personal terms after a superb, seven-year run.’
