The Mommy Club S2 episode 1 recap: Heart-to-hearts chats
After a very eventful Season 1, The Mommy Club is back for a second season and this time, we have two new ladies, Jabulile Sande and Nozipho Ntshangase, who will be joining the OGs Hermajesty, Mrs Mops, Nunurai and Ratile Mabitsela.
On the first episode of Season 2 of The Mommy Club, the ladies dropped the veil on their seemingly perfect lives. Ratile sat down with her family and spoke about the challenges of balancing being a housewife, businesswoman, mother and a student: “The kids are growing up, time is moving so fast, just now they will be in matric.”

During their conversation, Ratile opened up about going back to school to get her internationally accredited project management qualification.

She also shared that she has a new helper, Mabotsi, after viewers were introduced to Barbra in Season 1. “Barbra is not here anymore, so now we are with Mabotsi, we’ve got a new helper. In with the new, out with the old,” she added.

Hermajesty and Shalom discuss Barbra and Ratile
In a different scene, Hermajesty and Shalom discuss Ratile’s former helper Barbra and her relationship with Ratile, “When I see Barbra, it is painful because her employer did not tell her why she was letting her go or maybe Barbra knows the reason and does not want to share,” Shalom.
Mantshi has a heart-to-heart with Mrs Mops

Mrs Mops and her helper Mantshi went to a restaurant where they discussed Mrs Mops’ house situation. At the Season 1 reunion, Mrs Mops revealed that she and her family almost lost their home and her helper asked her how she feels about the situation that could have changed her life.
“It has been a very humbling experience, I was not expecting something like this to happen to us, and it has taught me to have your ducks in a row all the time. This season of my life has shown me who my friends are, the girls surprised me so much, Ratile was one of the first girls to reach out and then Hermajesty did as well. We might scratch each others’ eyes out but at the end of the day, we are all moms, all wives and we have each other’s backs when needed.”
