The Real Housewives of Abuja episode 5 recap: “Stop calling me Mummy GO"
In The Real Housewives of Abuja episode 5, things are chaotic; the seeds of trouble were sown at Tutupie’s pool party. According to OJ Posharella, Tutu and Samantha got lit with the young guests and smelled of booze, which surprised OJ because Sam mentioned she doesn’t drink alcohol.
“That freaking girl lied to me!” OJ tells Comfort and Arafa after their paintball game. “First of all, she said she doesn’t drink, and I was like, ‘Samantha, do I smell booze?’”

They dissect this lie and Tutu’s actions that night. Samantha denies the accusations later in the episode. “I told her [OJ] that I was not drunk,” she tells Princess during a spa date. “I just had little to drink because I don’t take alcohol.”
The story becomes different when Sammy and OJ link up later. It seems OJ is telling different stories depending on who she is with, but how did the gist between her, Arafat and Comfort get to Samantha and others?
Samantha confronts OJ
“Anyways, what is this thing I’m hearing?” Samantha asks. OJ speaks in circles, telling a story different from what she said in the morning.
Samantha smells the bs. “I think that if you didn’t mention this thing, nobody would have known about it,” she tells OJ.
“You probably started this gist,” she speaks about OJ during her confessional. “She can come to me and be all nice, she goes back to Tutu … I think she tries to play everyone.”
Princess, Arafa and Comfort
Arafa invites Princess to her house; did they forget they have tensions? Comfort is there too, and they are analysing Tutu's gist started by OJ in the morning.
They sha quickly abandon the topic to discuss Comfort’s fragrance event at her country home. Then back to OJ's gist, debating and disagreeing on how Tutu will react to it.
Comfort mentions her experiences with people, but Princess says she has not met folks like Tutu. She reminds Princess she is 18 years older and has experiences with different people. Princess calls her Mummy GO, referencing her age. Comfort says she is being offensive and insults her in Hausa.
“Be mature. You’re 40 years older than me,” Princess fires back, inflating Comfort’s age. Arafa is enjoying the spectacle and commenting, not knowing she is next.
“Arafat, just hold on, hold your hustle,” Princess fires at her for taking Comfort’s side. “You’re not trying to diffuse the situation; you’re trying to bring things up. Just rest!”

Before you know it, Arafat and Princess are at each other’s throats.
“Get out of my house!”
“I am not going anywhere!”
This argument gets so heated Arafat calls her security on Princess. Whew!
Tutu visits Comfort
Tutu travels to Comfort’s house. “So, I travel outside Abuja to Comfort’s house, it is literally 88 hours outside town,” she says. Girl, when does the shade stop? It can’t be that far na.

It is not a pleasant visit but a confrontation. Tutu is just tired of the circulating rumour. Yes, she is a party girl, but there is no need to heighten her supposed wildness to create a narrative.
Comfort thinks she should own her narrative because she mentioned she was drunk that night. But Tutu was just turnt up – basically lit and excited. Comfort doesn’t understand the Gen-Z lingo at play here, but they both agree it is a generational misunderstanding.
At least, this visit ends without people tearing into each other. All episodes of The Real Housewives of Abuja are streaming on Showmax.
