The Real Housewives of Durban Season 1-3
When it launched on Showmax in January 2021, The Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) set a then record for the most first-day views of any content on Showmax.
Since then it’s been released on hayu in 27 territories internationally, including Canada, UK, Ireland, Spain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Singapore and the Philippines.
RHOD is produced by Let It Rain Films, with Thumeka Hlotshana attached to direct Season 2 and Emmy winner Lee Doig (Survivor USA) creative directing.
In Season 1 we were introduced to eThekwini queens Nonkanyiso Conco (LaConco), Ayanda Ncwane, Sorisha Naidoo, Kgomotso Ndungane, Nonku Williams and Annie Mthembu, a group of ambitious women with their own business empires. While lavish lifestyles, high fashion and glamour were the order of the day, the housewives also dealt with personality clashes, parenting challenges and other everyday struggles.
Annie, LaConco, Nonku and Sorisha all return for Season 2, joined by TikTok sensation Jojo Robinson, singer Londie London and reality star Thobile MaKhumalo Mseleku.
Season 3, which landed on 1 February 2023, has Jojo Robinson, Sorisha Naidoo, Nonku Williams and Annie Mthembu returning, and they’re joined by Maria Valaskatzis, Mbali Ngiba and Slindile Wendy Ndlovu. New episodes land every Wednesday.
