The Real Housewives of Durban Season 2 episode 12: Mabusi versus Jojo
Before we recap what happened in The Real Housewives of Durban Season 2 episode 12, we have to ask if you remember those spicy questions the ladies anonymously asked each other a few weeks ago? Yes, that confessions game that ended in a big argument between Nonku and LaConco when the squad was in Mnambithi! Well, the ladies thought it would be a good idea to revisit that time while they were hanging out in Sun City.
Mabusi offered to read the questions to the ladies. MaKhumalo made it clear that she wasn’t ready to face the person who secretly asked her all those things. “That is why I hate what you are starting now,” she shared. Mabusi came clean about some of the questions that she had asked the ladies, including one directed at Sorisha, and another one at Jojo.
Jojo drops F-bombs
She repeated her question about whether or not Jojo would have married outside of her race. “I said it depends [on] who you love, who you fall in love with,” Jojo responded, adding that she didn’t understand why Mabusi would bring this up again. Jojo threw the F-bomb around a couple of times and told Mabusi that she was being rude. “The fact that Mabusi again, is trying to stir sh** with something so ugly is really f***ing me off,” she said.
The conversation moved on to LaConco’s mystery man, Petal. Nonku told LaConco that they just wanted to get to know her better, while the other ladies also shared their concerns about some of the things she had shared with them. LaConco refused to address the issue and concluded that the ladies would never understand her. She stood up and left.
Mabusi puts Jojo in her place
Mabusi tried to defend her. “LaConco and I are friends. I feel like a relationship doesn’t make a person,” she said. And just as she was trying to get her point across, the ladies started speaking over her. “Let me speak, it’s disrespectful to talk while I’m talking, guys… I listen to you when you speak, I don’t talk on top of you,” she said, while looking at Jojo. In response to Mabusi, Jojo asked: “You can be rude to me, but I can’t be rude to you?”
Mabusi told Jojo that she wasn’t being rude and asked her not to be a “spoilt brat”. She went on to tell Jojo: “Don’t tell me to shut up. It’s my mouth, I will say whatever I wanna say.” That didn’t stop Jojo from telling Mabusi to shut up, which really upset her. Just after Mabusi asked Jojo who she thought she was, Jojo got up and threw a drink at her.
Mabusi tried to reach for a glass that had water inside, but the table was too far. She then fell on her knees. Things got heated and she shouted at Jojo, “You don’t know me!”. Mabusi was ready to fight, basically. We’re not sure if she was being serious, but Jojo said it was an accident.
Mabusi was angry. “You don’t know anything about me. Don’t come for me. I’m repeating a question that I’ve asked before. I confessed to you about the question,” she told Jojo. “You can just come and slap me or throw water over me and think I’ll let you get away with it and think I’ll just look at you? I’m not about that life, I’m from Lamontville. I fought my battles, I know how to fight,” Mabusi said. Jojo said she wished she hadn’t thrown the water at Mabusi.
Nonku tried to calm Jojo down, while Sorisha mentioned that Jojo was being rude to Mabusi. “I feel so embarrassed for myself, sitting here as a bystander and for Mabusi,” she said. “I felt like Jojo was being childish in how she acted, like not letting Mabusi speak,” Annie added.
We can only hope that in the upcoming reunion episodes the ladies will be able to iron things out. A lot has happened in the last couple of weeks and another fight is probably not what they need at the moment.
