Toyin Lawani-Adebayo issa mood and half
If you follow pop culture in Nigeria, then you’ve probably heard of Toyin Lawani-Adebayo aka Tiannah. Aside from styling everybody from Ciara to Wizkid and Tiwa Savage, she’s also no stranger to controversies because as she puts it in her intro video “controversy always finds me.” Okay, Toyin, we hear you!
We soon learn that Toyin’s daughter, Tiannah, has never met her new husband, Segun Wealth aka The Unknown, who appears on the show with his signature mask. Tiannah is returning to Nigeria after schooling abroad for many years and her stepfather is nervous about meeting his ward.
Speaking of her multiple baby daddies, Toyin shares that she’s on good terms with both of them and broaches the idea of doing a shoot with all of them (including her new husband).
“I’m friends with all my kids’ dads, I think we should do a photoshoot together … that will be trendy”. Wahala for who no get baby daddy.
But perhaps what really has us side-eyeing Toyin is her outfit planning for her 40th birthday shoot. Toyin reveals that she wants an outfit made entirely of fried chicken parts for the shoot.
“The head of the chicken will be on the hat … we’ll fry all the chicken, we can’t use soft chicken. When I catwalk, get to the front I’ll take off that one it will reveal the sexy wear inside, they’ll shepe for me as usual…”
We guess it’s safe to say with Toyin, nothing is off the table.
Iyabo Ojo opens up about sexual assault
Nollywood actress, businesswoman, and queen of TikTok Iyabo Ojo is not a new face to Nigerians.
“I’m an all-rounder … I’m the life of the party, I’m a nightcrawler and party butterfly,” she tells us in her intro video.
Back in 2021, Iyabo Ojo made headlines when she publicly denounced her colleague, Baba Ijesha for his alleged assault on a minor. Addressing the situation with Taymi B of Cool FM on RHOLagos, Iyabo shares that “people’s situations matter to me a lot, especially children … I was molested and raped as a child multiple times…”
“I was actually molested at the age of maybe five or six by a family member…it’s a thing of the past now but it never goes away” she recounts.
Carolyna Hutchings with the luxe vibes
Nollywood actress turned billionaire wife/businesswoman, Carolyna Hutchings has already given us probably one of the most epic lines in The Real Housewives franchise history: “I married a billionaire… poor people can’t stand that”.
Okay, girl!
The former Mrs Danjuma may be divorced from her billionaire husband, but she’s not giving up her baby girl life.
Chioma Ikokwu is the boss babe
Anyone who follows lawyer and businesswoman Chioma Ikokwu on Instagram probably already knows that homegirl is all about the posh life. I mean how many people have former presidents’ wives and Hollywood stars on their client list?
But Chioma showed us she’s the level of extra we aspire to be when she casually mentioned that Arya, her dog “had sushi last night and she’s having pizza for dinner…”
God when?
Laura Ikeji Kanu is the drama
When we first got acquainted with Laura Ikeji Kanu on social media, she made happy dance videos on the gram. She’s since grown from that girl to a widely sought after influencer, businesswoman, wife, mother and now RHOLagos cast member who is apparently taking no prisoners.
“I don’t like people telling me what to do,” Laura shares. “In fact, when I’m failing, let me fail woefully and be happy that I failed…”
Giving us more insight into her personality, Laura states: “I don’t forgive easily … if you mess up I most likely will not forgive you ever”.
Okurrr … this is definitely a departure from the happy Laura we see on the gram and we certainly can’t wait to see how this plays out in the coming episodes.
The ladies who lunch
What’s a gathering of ladies on RHOLagos without a little shade?
After Laura arrives “fashionably late” to Toyin’s daughter’s product launch, the ladies sit down for a meal and drinks, after a prayer session sealed with tequila.
In the course of lunch, Toyin casually remarks, “I think you and Chioma should be friends”, to which Laura emphatically responds in the affirmative saying that the pair are already friends. Chioma, however, responds saying Laura has been a Good Hair client for about six or seven years … wahala be like bicycle.
As lunch continues, it appears that the entire table has taken to Chioma and Laura is not here for that.
“I’m really not feeling this setting … I think all the girls are being nice to Chioma and I don’t know why, I want to go home.”
Issokay!
Meanwhile, the ladies seem enthusiastic about Iyabo’s invitation to the beach, till Laura says she’s not going.
“I don’t know Iyabo that well, why would I want to go to a beach house with Iyabo?” she asks.
Just when we think this gathering can’t get any more shady, Laura reveals that Toyin and Carolyna used to be close but had a major falling out, and so is surprised to see them together.
Wawu!
Will Laura change her mind about the beach party? Will Chioma remain the darling of the group and is Laura about to unleash major drama?
