The River: Malefu is put to rest, and Lindiwe searches for a killer
While we haven’t seen Malefu on The River for months, we’ve heard her children talking about her on the show every once in a while. The character, played by Moshidi Motshegwa, left the telenovela early last year, and there was no clear indication about whether she would come back to the show or not.
Malefu left Refilwe and moved back home. For some reason, this gave some viewers hope that she would still make a comeback at some point. But that will not be happening. Uncle Sechaba made his return on screen on Friday’s episode of the award-winning telenovela and told the Mokoena family that Malefu is gone.
That was terrible news not only for the Mokoena family, but also for viewers who loved her character.
Lindani moves in with the Dikanas
Lindiwe is determined to find the person responsible for Mbali’s death. The moment she found out that someone had a hand in her daughter’s death, the grieving mother vowed to get her revenge. We know she means business because she made sure that Zweli and the family never got their hands on the police report. Meanwhile, she and Zolani are working overtime to find the culprit.
The worst part is that Lindiwe has concluded that the person who sabotaged the car brakes did it in her house. This new discovery has made her even angrier. Of course, at this point she’s not even suspecting Tumi. Instead, she and her daughter are working on making their relationship better and are growing closer every day. She even invited Lindani to come and live in the Dikana mansion because she wants to make Tumi happy. Not only that, Lindiwe has also given Lindani and Tumi a credit card just to make their lives more comfortable.
Will Tumi’s secret come out?
Lindiwe’s heart is definitely in the right place right now, but we can’t imagine how she will feel if she ever learns that her new favourite daughter is responsible for Mbali’s death. So far, Lindiwe and Zolani’s plan is to work together to find the so-called killer. No one else is supposed to know that they’re secretly investigating Mbali’s death.
However, Tumi overheard them discussing the matter. She heard the anger in Lindiwe’s voice and saw how determined she is to get her hands on the culprit. “I’ll see how brave they are when I burn them alive,” Lindiwe told her nephew. They didn’t see that Tumi was standing at the door while they were having their conversation. A shocked Tumi ran out with terror written all over her face.
Will Tumi be able to face Lindiwe after this? Tune into The River on Showmax to follow the story. New episodes air 15 minutes after the DStv broadcast.
