The River: Tumi’s big secret is out!
Lindiwe and Tumi’s relationship has been tested in so many ways in the telenovela The River. Although the mother and daughter didn’t get off to a good start, with years of hating each other, they eventually managed to build a solid relationship. However, the last couple of months have been tough extremely tough for them, ever since Tumi’s biological father, Mohumi, came into the picture.
Tumi and Mohumi’s relationship strengthens
While Lindiwe tried her best keep her daughter away from Mohumi, who’s currently in prison, Tumi has been working hard to keep in touch with him. She’s been visiting him in prison and also developed negative feelings towards her mother in the process, all thanks to the lies Mohumi has been feeding her.
Her newfound love for her father has also clouded her judgement and she made what could be the biggest mistake of her life. Tumi decided to share her biggest secret with Mohumi and came clean about killing Mbali.
While the father and daughter were bonding over the crime, Lindiwe was working on a plan to win Tumi back. She had a listening device installed in her bedroom so that she could keep up with her and maybe stay a few steps ahead of Mohumi.
Being the loyal cop that he is, Tshabalala made sure to listen and give regular feedback to Lindiwe.
Tumi’s secret comes out
At first Tshabalala didn’t think he’d really find anything too controversial, but he had the shock of his life after listening to a conversation between Tumi and Mabutho. She was telling him about how she confessed to Mohumi about killing Mbali, and Mabutho wasn’t impressed at all.
Tshabalala, on the other end, couldn’t believe his ears.
At this point, Lindiwe and Tumi’s relationship was getting better. Lindiwe even promised to stop interfering with Tumi and Mohumi’s relationship.
Poor Lindiwe didn’t know that things would take a downward turn after having such a lovely day with her daughter. Tshabalala met with her and made her listen to the recording. The pain was written all over her face after learning that Tumi was behind Mbali’s death. Will she make Tumi pay for this?
