The River: Zolani and Lindiwe are at loggerheads and it’s all thanks to Emma
The River came back with a bang after being off the screen for two weeks. A lot is happening in the Dikana and Mokoena households and we’re here for all the drama. Emma’s plan to come between Lindiwe and Zolani seems to be working perfectly. The aunt and nephew, who are usually very close, have been at each other’s throats for a while and things are only getting worse.
They aren’t the only ones going through a tough time right now. On the other side of town, Dimpho and her family are also not seeing eye to eye. Let’s catch you up on what you might have missed on the telenovela.
Zolani demands equity
Ever since Emma came into Zolani’s life, it seems like he can’t really think straight. His mind has been all over since the moment he first laid eyes on her. Emma has played her cards very well and therefore he can’t see her for who she really is. She’s successfully managed to turn him against Lindiwe, and to make things worse, has also convinced him that he deserves half of Khanyisa Diamonds.
Zolani, who’s willing to do whatever it takes to please his future wife, went straight to Lindiwe and demanded a 50% share of the mine. He believes that his aunt owes him quite a lot, considering the fact that he’s done a lot of her dirty work. However, Lindiwe is not even willing to entertain the idea, and told Zolani exactly where to get off.
He then decided to sue Lindiwe, and also get auditors to look into her business. This upset the mining mogul and she retaliated by getting Zolani arrested for “misusing” company funds.
Morapedi breaks Dimpho’s heart
Fires are burning everywhere, it seems. Dimpho has also found herself in a sad situation after being dumped by her boyfriend, Morapedi. The Khanyisa Diamonds intern fell madly in love with her boss in a matter of days.
Unfortunately, their secret love affair came out in the open after Tumi caught them kissing in the office. She went and told Cobra and her aunt, Kedibone, who were very shocked to discover that she’s involved with a man much older than her.
They instructed her to end things with him, which she refused. This caused a big fight and led to Dimpho getting a restraining order against her big brother and aunt. How dramatic!
But it turns out elders always know better when it comes to matters of the heart. Dimpho sadly learned this after visiting Morapedi’s hotel room and finding another woman inside. She caused a scene and they got into a fight.
Morapedi, who was caught in the middle, told both ladies to leave. He told Dimpho that it’s over and he wants nothing to do with her. She obviously couldn’t believe this because she’s still in love with him. It looks like he was only in it for fun.
