The River: Zweli takes his anger out on his family
We never thought we’d ever see Zweli’s bad side. Yes, we know everyone has a bad side, even the most “perfect” people, but it’s very weird to see Zweli being the bad guy. If you’re wondering what he’s been up to lately, we’ll gladly fill you in.
Grumpy Zweli makes everyone uncomfortable
Zweli is giving everyone around him a hard time. After he was discharged from the hospital, his loved ones have been doing everything in their power to make sure that he’s comfortable. However, it seems like no matter what they do for him, he’s just not grateful. But do you blame him? One minute he was fit and running around, the next minute he’s sitting on a wheelchair and dependent on his ex-wife and children.
From what we’ve seen, Zweli hasn’t accepted his condition and is taking out his anger on his family. He was so mean to his children after they surprised him with a new wheelchair and told them that they don’t want him to get better. Lindiwe has also been getting a lot of verbal abuse from her ex and he’s even told her to leave his house. He called the police and told them that there’s an intruder in his home. Things got ugly when he was shouting at everyone and demanding Lindiwe to leave.
We can’t even imagine what he’s going through. He just lost his new wife and now has to accept that he may never walk again. The police commissioner really has a lot to deal with.
Cobra steals from Tumi
Can we all agree that we’re tired of Cobra’s immaturity? It seems like no matter how many chances he gets, he will never change. He’s broken the law so many times and it doesn’t look like he’s getting any better. Remember when he used to hijack cars? How about the time he got arrested for those heists? Honestly, we thought that was the worst he could do but after what he did to his sister Tumi, we’ve concluded that Cobra doesn’t care about anyone but himself.
Because he wants to get a job as a traffic officer, Cobra made a deal with Tshabalala and promised to give him some bribe money so that he gets the gig. The only problem is that he doesn’t have the money, so he came up with a plan to rob his sister. Cobra asked one of his friends to come and rob Tumi at home (while he was also there) and watched as her life was threatened.
Cobra’s intention was to get Tumi’s bank card so that he could take money from it. He succeeded and ended up giving Tshabalala R10 000. Still, even with this move there’s no guarantee that he will get the job.
We have a feeling that things will go downhill from her. But don’t just take our word for it – make sure you see it for yourself. Watch The River right here on Showmax. New episodes air 15 minutes after the DStv broadcast.
