Unmarried S2: Claudia goes up against her dangerous husband
How did Claudia survive being married to Viktor for all those years? From what we’ve seen the last couple of weeks, she’s really scared of him. And she’s now seen that all the money in the world is not enough to make her stay with him.
Claudia agreed to meet up with her husband to talk about the divorce. Their meeting was attended by her lawyer and her cousin Cam. Things were so tense that she couldn’t even look him in the eye. Viktor requested to be alone with his wife, but that didn’t happen. Instead, he was told about a protection order.
“You’re not allowed to contact your wife or phone her. You cannot come to her house or place of work or in public,” Claudia’s lawyer told him.
Before Viktor could make threats, he was reminded about his criminal activities. “I know you’re part of a rich criminal organisation that operates in several countries in Europe. You’ve been arrested for extortion, racketeering, kidnapping and drug trafficking,” Claudia’s lawyer told him.
Viktor walked away after he was also told that one call to Interpol could possibly end his life.
When Claudia married Viktor, she didn’t realise that things would end up this way. She explained to Cam that she married a rich white man because she was trying to get freedom.
“I didn’t know I had met a liar. I don’t even know who he is or what he does… I thought I was with a man who loved and cared for me.” However, he turned out to be very controlling and isolated her from her friends and family. Claudia truly had everything she needed but she didn’t have freedom.
Now that she’s woken up to the fact that she was in an abusive marriage for years, Claudia has been trying to find her independence. But that won’t be easy because Viktor is clearly not the agreeable type. Knowing all the things he’s capable of, we can’t help but wonder if he’s behind Claudia’s kidnapping.
