Where to stream the Golden Globe winners
It’s traditionally the glitterati’s favourite event. More relaxed than the Oscars (and with an open bar), the Golden Globes bring together the worlds of TV and the movies to celebrate entertainment with an evening of cringy jokes and inspiring acceptance speeches.
Series on Showmax were the big winners in the TV category last night, taking home five of the 11 awards given, more than any other streaming service in Africa. By contrast, Prime Video took home Best Comedy (Fleabag) and Best Musical or Comedy Actress (Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge); Netflix won Best Drama Actress (The Crown’s Olivia Colman) and The Act on DStv Now won Best Supporting Actress for Patricia Arquette.
Here’s where you can watch some of the night’s big winners.
