Wura episodes 45-48 recap: “Goodbye, Omolara”
In the latest episodes of Wura, the gold heist was unsuccessful — a reminder that Wura always wins. Biggie was arrested during the botched mission, and while that relieves everyone, Wura isn’t satisfied. She knows it isn’t a one-man job and wants the police to capture the other guys before they return.

However, Biggie is no snitch. He won’t divulge any information and Detective Kolapo says he is still working on it. “You’re too slow, Kolapo,” she admonishes him. “Just put me in the same room with this criminal, and I promise you, I am going to make him talk.”
Meanwhile, the other criminals — Mide and Percy — she is looking for are now fighting. Percy wants to return for the gold; Mide can’t believe his friend. He is tired of the risks that come with these jobs. Again, Percy tries to gaslight him by calling him a weakling, but it won’t work this time. He leaves.
At the Adeleke’s, things are gloomy. Wura’s revenge against Omolara was deadly. “She is completely paralysed, unresponsive,” Jeje gives his auntie reports from the hospital. She tells him cancer can be brutal. What a savage!
Wura wins, Omolara loses
Wura always wins! The reason is simple: she doesn’t play fair. She does things her enemies, as wicked and greedy as they might be, can’t attempt. Omolara has been selfish and irritable, but she has been fair. Wura’s response is to bring a bazooka to a knife fight. Now, the woman is paralysed and she is still playing Ms Compassionate.
“It is a fine care home, I called them and they have a vacancy,” she shows Jeje a picture of a luxury hotel with a masseuse therapist working around the clock on clients. “I already booked a suite for a year. They even have vehicles specially made for people in her condition.”
She plans to get Jeje to forget everything and focus on being her right-hand man again.
Biggie escapes prison
“Biggie just escaped!” Wura shouts. The police can’t find his accomplices and have allowed him to escape, and Wura is rightly exasperated. She fears Biggie has men inside the police force helping him. Jeje worries for their safety and asks his auntie to request extra security from her husband.
The police swiftly go into action. Two officers visit Mide wielding AK-47s. They comb the house, and when Iyabo comes in, they search her bag too. She is angry!
“What you’re doing is wrong,” she admonishes them in Yoruba. “You can’t come into my house as you like because my son has committed a crime before.”
They inform her they are here for Biggie because people have seen him with her son at the bar. Iyabo looks at her son sternly; she senses he has returned to his old ways and she is disappointed.
Will Lolu marry Mandy?
Wura commissions a report around the river where the gold was found, the same place she murdered Pa Kuti. Jeje is worried about what the report will reveal, but his fears quickly die as the report only suggests more minerals around the area. Basically, there is a lot of gold there and Wura wants the right to the place, so she goes to Mandy’s dad, Chief Popoola.
“Put in your proposal through to my office, just like every other person, and we’ll contact the best applicant,” the chief teases her. Wura knows the game, so she asks for his price. His request is somewhat unconventional; he wants Lolu to marry Mandy and the bride price is 50 million Naira.
