When Season 5 opens, it’s been just over a year since Bosch (Titus Welliver) brought his mother’s killer to justice and now he’s facing trouble on two other fronts, one linked to a 20-year-old murder case and the other a new case surrounding an opioid pill mill. Bosch agrees to go undercover to bust the pill mill case wide open, armed with only an improvised walking stick.
Meanwhile, Bosch’s daughter Maddie (Madison Lintz) fears for his safety, and when he goes missing undercover, his partner Jerry (Jamie Hector) has to tread very carefully to locate him without blowing his cover.
Season 5 of Bosch has a 100% critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with Newsday saying “One of TV’s most irresistible binges remains irresistibly binge-worthy,” and ScreenRant hailing its “exploration of such moral grey areas”, which “makes Bosch more captivating than the average police procedural”.
All five seasons are available to binge on Showmax, with Season 6 slated for 2020.
