First look: The Real Housewives of Durban Season 5
One of the 10 most streamed titles on Showmax in 2024, The Real Housewives of Durban has just dropped a sneak peek of its upcoming fifth season.
In the first-look clip, Nonku Williams prays for guidance, setting the stage for the emotional journey that lies ahead. She declares, “God is a God of second chances. I’ve messed up in the past, but God always has His arms open.”

Nonku is one of four returning Housewives this season, alongside fellow OG Sorisha Naidoo. The two remain Africa’s longest-serving Housewives. Jojo Robinson, who joined in Season 2, and Season 4 newcomer Angel Ndledla are both also returning.
New cast members will be revealed soon.
Season 4 ended in dramatic, unforgettable fashion when Sorisha stormed off from the reunion, vowing never to speak to Jojo or Nonku again. The tension soared as the Housewives split into two rival camps. On one side, Sorisha, Angel, Slee Ndlovu and Ameigh Thompson; on the other, Nonku, Jojo, Maria Valaskatzis, and Zama Ngcobo.
“This season, the cast dynamics have shifted in unexpected ways, offering a new look, feel, and energy that will keep you hooked from start to finish,” says Sam Kelly, Let it Rain Films’ executive producer.
“Season 5 is set to deliver on every front: high-stakes clashes, opulent lifestyles, personal growth, and twists you won’t see coming. Friendships will be forged in the fire, while others will crack under pressure.”
