Gbas gbos unleashed: 8 hottest fights in the BBNaija Level Up house so far

If there’s one thing we can expect from BBNaija, it’s gbas gbos. It is as inseparable as white rice and stew, and the BBNaija Level Up housemates certainly understood the assignment.

From man drama to food fights, triangles and complex shapes, the BBNaija Level Up season has not failed in its deliverables so far.

Earlier in the week, Big Brother merged the Level 1 and 2 houses, and expectedly the drama has already started.

As we look forward to even more gbas gbos in the house, let’s recount some of the most heated exchanges in the BBNaija Level Up house so far.

1. Beauty and Ilebaye put an end to their budding sismance

In the beginning, it seemed like Beauty and Ilebaye would be pals and we were here for it; two gorgeous queens lifting each other. But as the week wore on, the ladies started having small spats.

But things took a major turn after the first Saturday night party. Trouble started when Chomzy with the mami water waist decided to dance with Groovy during the Saturday night party. This move did not sit well with Beauty, who confronted Groovy after the party. While Beauty’s temper raged, Ilebaye decided to step in and calm her down, at which point Beauty lashed out and removed Ilebaye’s wig.

The move earned Beauty a strike and also ended the brewing sismance between both ladies.

2. Beauty gets a strike

We very quickly learned in the BBNaija Level Up house that Beauty and alcohol do not go well.

After earning a strike the previous week over her provocation about Groovy and Chomzy dancing, Beauty clearly did not learn her lesson. In the mother of all meltdowns, Beauty confronted Groovy for dancing with Chomzy, absolutely refusing to listen to anyone who tried to calm her down.

In the heat of things, Beauty threw her glasses and wig at Groovy, and even her microphone, which are totally against the rules of the game. The move did not go unpunished and Beauty’s outburst got her disqualified from BBNaija, giving us the quickest disqualification we’ve seen in BBNaija history.

3. Ilebaye and Bryann fight over edge control

Who knew edge control could cause so much tension, asides laying edges? Some would say there was more to Ilebaye’s reaction in this particular instance given her seeming appreciation for Bryann, but Illebaye maintains she didn’t like Bryann like that.

So, Ilebaye had walked in on Modella using her edge control on Bryann’s hair, and immediately saw red because Modella did not ask for her permission to use the edge control. Plus Ilebaye had started to see Modella as a rival of sorts.

While the housemates called her out on her behaviour and tried to calm her down, Ilebaye was not ready to listen. Bryann also tried talking to her, but when Ilebaye remained adamant, they both started hurling abusive words at each other, with Bryann saying “go and catch cruise with your father.”

Ouch!

4. Adekunle and Sheggz fight over food

Of course it wasn’t about food, but all that is needed to start a fire is a spark.

This is one fight we all saw coming as both men had it in for each other. Little moments like Adekunle revealing that he liked Bella before Sheggz came into the picture in week one, then later telling Giddyfia and Diana that he thought Sheggz and Bella’s relationship was a strategy. For his part, Sheggz made jokes with Bella about Allysyn serving Adekunle breakfast. Ebuka also played a part with his table-shaking questions, which led to Sheggz saying Adekunle is not genuine.

Things finally came to a head during a scuttle over food. In the middle of things, Adekunle said Sheggz is “not intellectual” and Sheggz lost it, calling Adekunle “stupid”. Both men then went into full-on fight mode with Adekunle saying he was ready to forgo the 100 million prize money and fight. Mercifully, the housemates were able to hold Adekunle back.

5. Chichi fights Diana over Deji

Was Chichi truly triggered by Diana or was she just seeking highlights? Your guess is as good as ours.

Trouble started after Chichi found out Diana was sharing a locker with Deji, with whom she’s in a situationship, a few hours after both levels merged. Going into full-on attack mode, Chichi confronted Diana, getting right in her personal space and repeatedly asking “Are you mad?”.

Despite former roomie Phyna’s attempts to hold her back, Chichi kept charging at Diana, even as she kept her hands firmly by her side in order not to hit Diana and break Biggie’s rules.

Regardless, this did not stop her from receiving Biggie’s wrath as she was issued a strong warning for goading.

6. Diana, Rachael, Amaka and Giddyfia in a square

This is not your regular love triangle, but a “love square” and as you can imagine, it was only a matter of time before things went bust.

The Saturday night party always comes loaded with drama and last Saturday was no different. While housemates were dancing to the rhythm of the beat and sipping their drinks, Amaka and Giddyfia danced intimately.

Though Diana maintains she’s just friends with Giddyfia, she clearly doesn’t take kindly to other women being around him and though she did not react to Amaka dancing with Giddyfia, she fully lashed out at Rachael for doing the same later on, calling her an “ashawo” and “f*cking bitch”.

Wahalur.

7. Chichi versus Adekunle

Making another entry in our countdown are Adekunle and Chichi, whose fight once again is rooted in a man.

Na wa!

Trouble started after Biggie switched Deji and Groovy, back when the BBNaija Level Up season still had two houses. In the wake of the switch, Chichi cried for a while, and Adekunle, who doesn’t like to see ladies cry, offered Chichi a shoulder to lean on. However, Chichi refused, and before we could say “wetin dey happen”, the next thing we heard was a furious session of name calling.

Apparently Chichi had overheard Adekunle tell some housemates in the garden that her ship with Deji would not sail. Why was Adekunle pretending, then? Adekunle tried to explain what she heard, but Chichi wasn’t having it. Coming hard at Adekunle, she angrily told him that he “hates love and that is why love cannot find him”.

Wawu!

8. Phyna and Sheggz exchange words during house wager preparation

Barely 48 hours after Biggie merged both levels, we got our first inter-level gbas gbos ably represented by Phyna and Sheggz.

The housemates had been preparing for the week’s wager task, and everyone had been dropping their ideas. Phyna also said her piece for the wager task, but Sheggz wouldn’t accept it. Expectedly, Phyna lost her temper and lashed out, but before she could get in a word, Sheggz told her that if they both should be up for eviction, she would go home. Wawu! Not one to take any kind of yabbing, Phyna retorted “na your papa get Big Brother?”.

Phyna eventually calmed down after love-interest/Sheggz bff calmed her down but not before stating how disappointed he was in Sheggz for disrespecting his woman.

Wahala be like bicycle, e no dey hard to start.
