Divo, Queen B* or Anele? Who is your fave entertainment personality?

They’ve kept us entertained with their performances and antics in front of the cameras and behind the scenes and now they’re up for the ultimate accolade: the DStv Viewers’ Choice Favourite Personality of the Year Award, brought to you by Showmax.

The DStv Viewers’ Choice Awards take place on Saturday, 14 March at the Ticketpro Dome, and the award-winners are voted for by the public. They honour the year’s biggest achievers across 11 categories, and award the nominee who earns the highest number of votes overall as the Ultimate Viewers’ Choice in a hotly contested race that has previously seen the winner receive over a million votes!

And the nominees are …

A. Bonang Matheba

Also known as Queen B*, Bonang constantly has Mzansi talking. The third season of her reality show, Being Bonang, was a massive hit and she’s followed it up with some big business news.

B. Somizi Mhlongo

As an Idols judge, he charmed the nation, but nothing can compare to the hype around his incredible, extravagant weddings with his new husband, Mohale Motaung. Watch Somizi & Mohale: The Union before you cast your vote!

Watch: Living the Dream With Somizi Season 5 – new episodes every Wednesday.

C. Anele Mdoda

Radio and TV personality Anele is laugh-out-loud funny and brimming with confidence – you just had to watch her in action on the this year’s Oscars red carpet to see it! Plus, she was a judge on last year’s Miss SA pageant, and you can check out her comedy chops in Comedy Central Present: Sex Live at the Lyric.

D. Nomzamo Mbatha

Actress Nomzamo Mbatha has starred in hits like Tell Me Sweet Something, about a woman’s search for love, and will soon be starring alongside Eddie Murphy in the upcoming sequel to Coming to America. She’s living in the US these days but still comes back to our shores, much to her fans’ delight.

E. Sho Madjozi

This rapper and poet no longer needs any introduction – she had the biggest 2019 possible, with a massive international hit with “John Cena” and a viral appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show where she met the wrestler in person. She’s also unapologetically proud of her Tsonga culture and is a fantastic ambassador for the whole of South Africa.

Which of these faves will win? Watch the DMVCAs on Saturday 14 March to see who scoops the Favourite Personality of the Year Award, brought to you by Showmax.
