Greyzone S1

Birgitte Hjort Sørensen (Pitch Perfect 2 and Season 5 of Game of Thrones) stars as Victoria Rahbek, a talented software engineer at a Swedish tech company who specialises in drones. When terrorists abduct her to get their hands on some sensitive components for a planned attack, no-nonsense Swedish special agent Eva Forsberg (Tova Magnusson) and a team of investigators must race to prevent the attack and save Victoria and her young son.

Don’t expect Greyzone to conform to regular crime drama tropes. For one thing, the interactions between Victoria and her captor have a simmering undercurrent – they’re confined in her apartment and they have to learn how to live together.

You’d know just from the title that the show is about moral ambiguity; areas that are neither white nor black, good nor evil, right nor wrong. So while it’s a thrilling crime drama, Greyzone is also an exploration of motivations and intentions beyond the stereotypes this genre usually offers.

The New Zealand Herald says, “A high-stakes, grippingly paced and highly entertaining drama… The 10-part series gets only more rewarding, the action more fraught and complex, the deeper you get.”
