WATCH: Vikings S5 Trailer – all previous seasons on Showmax
The filming of Season 5 has officially wrapped for the award-winning series based on the bloody journey of Norse legend Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel), set during the age in which vikings conquered Europe.
The premiere date is yet to be announced, but it’s happening this year. Rated 91% on Rotten Tomatoes, this historical series is ruthless and intensely gripping. Check out this trailer for the new season.
If you haven’t immersed yourself in the barbaric splendour of Vikings, all four previous seasons are ready to go on Showmax.
Season 1 kicks off with Ragnar’s defiant rise among the viking leaders as he sets out to raid parts of England. The vikings need suitable farmland to keep growing, and they invade all of Europe to get it.
We don’t want to give anything away, but the following seasons continue with Ragnar’s rise to what is now mythological status in viking lore. Expect bloodshed, betrayal, adultery and ferocious fighting from all sides as Ragnar battles not only foreign forces but his own family as well. And his wife is seriously hardcore.
