Kwa Mam’Mkhize: What Andile spent that R1 million on
Do you remember that time when Andile Mpisane asked his mother for R1 million on Kwa Mam’Mkhize? That obviously shocked viewers and had everyone talking. Where do you even get the nerve to ask for such a huge amount of money from your mother? Well, this only works if you’re one of Shauwn Mkhize’s children, of course.
Anyway, it turns out Andile really needed the money for something very important. You know, when you’re an aspiring musician who wants to make a mark in the music industry you have to put the work, and you also need to impress. That’s exactly what Andile wanted to achieve with his very first music video. He decided to reach out to his wealthy mother for a “small loan” of R1 million and to everybody’s surprise, she gave him the cash.
Because they wanted this to be a success, they even got one of the country’s best and busiest choreographers, Somizi, to help out. The reality TV star and radio host, who’s been receiving rave reviews for his four-part wedding special, gladly assisted.
On Thursday evening’s episode, Mam’Mkhize and her family jetted off to Cape Town to shoot Andile’s video. Shauwn felt it was important for her to be there. “I came to oversee how this million will be used,” she said. Everyone was in high spirits. “[Andile and his friends] are just overexcited. It’s fun. We’re about to shoot the music video,” Shauwn added.
From what we saw on the episode, this was a fun shoot. Andile, his friends and dancers were on a yacht having the time of their lives. Shauwn and Sbahle were also part of the action as extras. We cannot wait to see the final product.
In case you’re wondering if Andile will pay back the money, we highly doubt that. But if Shauwn can pay R289 million to the South African Reserve Service (SARS), what’s R1 million?
