The Ranakas S4: Ma Siba keeps the family intact with a firm hand
The hilarious and heartwarming family reality series has more drama than ever to quench our thirst for entertainment.
It is the day of baby Mpho’s imbeleko, the ceremony that is conducted on the 10th day after a baby is born or later to introduce the child to the ancestors. As usual, drama is the order of the day.
Ma Siba is not impressed with Ntate Ranaka and how he does things. This time around she is frustrated at Ntate Ranaka’s failure to discipline their sons.
Ntate Ranaka chooses to keep quiet
A few weeks back, Ma Siba was unimpressed with the way Ntate Ranaka worked on his family tree project at their house. This week she’s not pleased with him not wanting to discipline his sons.
“It’s so hard to get my family to come together. I have tried many times and failed, especially when it comes to the male children,” she says.
Ranaka is helping with the preparations for the ceremony and Ma Siba is asking him to do various tasks but he is not listening to his mother’s instructions.
She reprimands him and says that he needs to take things seriously when it concerns family affairs. We all know Ranaka can be playful, but what frustrates Ma Siba even more is the fact that Ntate Ranaka isn’t playing his role in disciplining Ranaka.
“The boys are not disciplined because my husband chooses to keep quiet,” says Ma Siba.
Ntate Ranaka has a great relationship with the boys
As a parent, Ntate Ranaka has built a safe space where his sons can be free around him, whether they’re go-karting together or working on the Ranaka family tree.
“I only discipline my sons when there is a valid reason to do so. If you reprimand someone and they don’t stop, you just leave them,” sats Ntate Ranaka.
Viewers share Ma Siba’s sentiments and believe that Ranaka is unruly and needs to be kept in check. That said, Ranaka is also the reason some viewers keep watching the show.
Viewers also believe that Ntate Ranaka is a great father and is trying his best when it comes to his family as a whole, even though Ma Siba may not fully see his efforts as a father and head of the family.
