The River: Is Tumi and Lindani’s marriage over?
Tumi might have lost the one person who’s been with her through thick and thin. And guess what? It doesn’t look like there’s any way she can get him back. For weeks, Lindani has known that something was off with his wife, but he couldn’t figure out what she was up to. He eventually put two and two together and concluded that she was cheating on him. He was right!
Tumi decides to work on her marriage
However, when he confronted her about it, she denied everything and made him believe that she wasn’t doing anything wrong. In fact, Tumi even got Lindani to apologise for accusing her of cheating on him.
They made peace and decided to work on their marriage. Of course, she couldn’t fix her marital problems without breaking up with Lindani’s cousin, Mabutho. As hard as it was for her, she realised that it would be best to stop having an affair and rather focus on her husband and the possibility of starting a family together. When Tumi told Mabutho her decision to break things off, he didn’t take well at all.
He was upset that she had decided to give her marriage another chance and have children with her own husband. Imagine! We can’t believe he expected Tumi to choose him over Lindani. Does he know how far these two have come? Did he not know that this was just Tumi’s way of forgetting about her issues at home?
Tumi and Mabutho caught by the Dikanas
Although Tumi’s mind was made up, she still had a soft spot for Mabutho. Before leaving him for good, she had another chat with him at the Dikana mansion and they agreed to be intimate one last time. This turned out not to be the wisest decision. Tumi and Mabutho had their last moment of fun and when they were done, they went downstairs, not realising that the whole family was in the house. They were caught and it was clear for everyone to see that they were up to no good.
You would think Tumi would be a bit more careful after she and Mabutho were caught in the act by Andile a few days ago. But no, she likes living on the edge. When the whole family saw them together, Tumi lied and said they just were discussing work. But Mabutho was tired of lying and he told the truth.
We had a feeling that this would end in tears! Will Tumi and Lindani’s marriage survive this? Watch The River on Showmax to find out. New episodes air 15 minutes after the DStv broadcast.
