The River: Lindiwe’s back and she’s badder than ever

The past week has taught us that it’s never over until Lindiwe says so. It turns out she always has a trick up her sleeve. We must say her latest stunt is something that we didn’t anticipate. Now that’s how you know that this woman is always a step ahead of her competition.

Will Lindiwe’s plan succeed?

As you might remember, Lindiwe and Zolani were supposed to move into their apartment last week. However, that didn’t happen because a fire broke out and destroyed the building. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure out that this has Lindiwe written all over it.

To make things worse, Lindiwe reached out to Zweli’s mother and sister and they were in Johannesburg in no time.

In her mind, they would help her to stop Zweli and Gail’s wedding. At first, it looked like her plan was working because Dambisa and her mother were on Gail’s case, even refusing to speak English in order to accommodate her. But as time went by, Gail and Zweli’s family started getting along well and Lindiwe was once again out in the cold.

Lindiwe came up with another plan to take Gail out and it looks like this one might actually work. She cooked up a plan to get her hands on a diamond that she was told was worth R10 million. After getting her hands on the diamond, she shot the two Angolan dealers and told their boss – who was on the phone at the time – that she’s Gail Mathabatha. This, of course, means that Gail’s life is now in danger.

An intervention for Cobra

Cobra should count himself lucky because he has people who really love him. In the last few of weeks, we have watched his rise to the top and his quick fall. He was unable to handle the fact that he had fallen from grace and he turned to alcohol for comfort. This led him on a path of destruction and his sisters ended up kicking him out of the house. Cobra continued on his downward spiral as he had lost hope and felt alone. His loved ones realised that if he carried on drinking, he would eventually end up losing his life, so they staged an intervention. They told him how much they love and care about him and asked him to stop destroying his life.

He admitted that he was hurting and said he thought they hated him. He explained that he was drinking because he wanted to prove a point.

You can follow The River on Showmax to see if the intervention will change Cobra’s life. Oh, and you don’t want to miss the drama between Lindiwe and Gail. New episodes of the telenovela air 15 minutes after the DStv broadcast.
