016FM Season 1 episode 8 recap: Homecoming
On 016FM this week, Tsietsi returns home from burying his mother and is stunned to find that Team Tsietsi's popularity has skyrocketed. As he settles back into life at the station, he uncovers a shocking truth about his parents' past. Meanwhile, TK gets himself into hot water, and Karabo’s patience pays off. Here’s the recap.
Where was TK?

Whiskey confronts TK about his whereabouts the night before, but TK dodges the question, lashing out at his brother instead. He’s angry that Whiskey chose Latoya over him. But it’s not just Whiskey who’s curious - TK’s friends are also searching for answers about where he’s been.
The Prof helps out at the studio

In an effort to mend fences with Tsietsi, the Prof pitches in at the studio, reworking an ad script for Charity Manzini. A spark seems to fly between them, with Charity even flirting a bit and asking for breathwork lessons to improve her script reading.
Tsietsi’s back home

The Kwaal of the Vaal is in full swing, and Tsietsi is leading the popular vote. As he returns to the studio, he’s greeted warmly by the team and showered with #TeamTsietsi merch, lifting his spirits.
Tsietsi learns the truth

But Tsietsi’s mood takes a nosedive when he learns his father has been helping out at the station. Confronting the Prof, Tsietsi discovers a shocking truth: it was his mother who cheated all those years ago, not his father!
Whiskey starts a war

Whiskey, feeling the pressure of Tsietsi’s growing popularity, calls on his fans to take the Kwaal to the next level, sparking fights between listeners. It’s Team Tsietsi from Sharpeville against Team Whiskey from Sebokeng. Who will win?
Karabo and Tsietsi hook up!

After bringing Tsietsi some home-cooked food and offering her sympathies, Karabo shares a sweet moment with him that leads to a long-awaited steamy kiss. Finally! Karabo’s been crushing on Tsietsi since the beginning!
What has TK gotten himself into?

Meanwhile, Pius organises another hijacking, with Queen caught in the middle - this job better go off without a hitch, or she’ll pay for it! But it’s not just Queen who’s in too deep; it turns out TK has also tangled himself up with Pius’s crew.
