BBNaija S7: The Buzz episode 3: Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi dishes on her fave BBNaija Level Up housemates
One of the things we love about The Buzz is seeing some of Naija’s hottest celebs dish about their faves in the BBNaija house.
This week, media personality and our very own RHOLagos Twitter Spaces host, Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, and media entrepreneur Tosin Ajibade aka Olori Supergal were guests of Toke Makinwa on The Buzz. The ladies discussed the personalities on each level, ships in the house, and of course, Beauty’s disqualification.
Diving right into the matter, Gbemi shared that she finds herself watching “my people”, the Level 1 housemates, more.
“They’re more chill, I’m more chill,” she shared.
Sharing her thoughts on the contestants in the house, Toke commented on the strong personalities of the Level 2 housemates and how they all seem to be wrapped with an alpha aura. However, Gbemi was of the opinion that they are loud, and rubbing off on each other, so as not to come off “as a punk on TV.”
Moving on, Toke questioned the personality of Kess, and Gbemi jumped in to ask a rather important question: “Is he married, or sorta married?”
A lot of Nigerians would really want to know the answer to that question because as we’ve come to see over time, Lagos marriages are another type of marriage to be studied. Still speaking on Kess, Gbemi commented that she likes the fact that he gives a good show, and is not just a spectator.
They both agreed that his personality as an instigator is his way of creating content in
the house and Gbemi ended the conversation by saying his current strategy could be, “if lust is not going to work, let me quarrel.”
After viewing moments in the house that looked strategic, Olorisupergal joined Toke
and Gbemi on set to discuss the sismance between Phyna and Amaka. They all agreed
that the girls understand each other, and can read each other’s energy, with Toke adding, “Biggie needs to start evenings with Amaka and Phyna”.
Discussing the first evictions of the season, Toke asked her guests what their thoughts were on the eviction. The ladies collectively agreed they were not surprised Christy O was the first to get the boot. But Olorisupergal added that Christy O didn’t deserve it because she was not on the initial list of housemates to get evicted, till she fell under Hermes’ radar, while Cyph was seen as a strong contender. Toke commented that the best way to summarise what Olorisupergal was saying about Christy O was, “she woke up a little bit too late.” While Gbemi, with her full chest, said she
forgot Christy O was there. Ouch!
Looking at the shocking moments surrounding Beauty and Groovy’s ship, they all agreed
it was toxic. Toke further commented that Beauty’s disqualification was the earliest disqualification in the history of BBNaija, and it was obvious that baby girl had lost focus. Olorisupergal pointed out that the whole event helped Chomzy’s game by strengthening her fan base, making her a strong contender against Level 2, while easily taking away Modella’s job in the house.
The episode ended with Toke bringing up Daniella and Khalid’s now infamous rumble under the sheets. While the ladies cheekily tried analysing the positioning under the sheets, Olorisupergal was more concerned about how Amaka watched all night and did not utter a word about it the next morning.
“She’s a better woman than me because I would have been like ‘let me tell you…’,”Gbemi declared.
