Born into Fame: AJ and Shamiso's date with support dogs
In an effort to hash things out, AJ decided to reach out to Shamiso. He organised a cute date just so they could talk about some of their issues. The two stars went to an organisation that has emotional support dogs and the environment allowed them to relax and hear each other out.
On why he chose the particular place, AJ explained: “This is all part of a therapeutic experience that I put together for us because I felt as though we might have not completely dealt with everything. It’s just a nice therapeutic experience, but something different like alternative therapy.”
Finding common ground

At first, Shamiso didn’t understand AJ’s intentions because she felt as though he cared about mental health when it affects him. However, he warmed up to him after their session with the dogs. “Thank you so much. I really am surprised that you brought me here. I mean if you invite someone to therapy it means that you see their need for therapy,” she said.
Shamiso got a lot off her chest. “He needs to hear it whether he likes it or not.” She didn’t like his comment about her being insincere with her emotions. AJ told her why he had a meltdown. “I felt as though the people that say they love this person [Tumi Tladi] sort of just, right after the passing, sort of just forgot about him and focused on whatever else was hot.”
Clearing the air

Shamiso felt that this was unfair. “If your issue is the fact that people have moved on, you can’t have an issue with me for wanting to stay there and empathise with you,” she said. She told him that she was just empathising with him, person to person. AJ realised that he could have handled things differently. “Maybe I might have said the wrong thing about her. If I could do anything, I would take that moment back and just apologise,” he shared.
At the end of the chat, Shamiso was happy and immediately removed AJ from her list of people she doesn’t vibe with.
