ENO episode 5 recap: Tessa agrees to marry Chris

In ENO episode 5, Abena’s house is on fire after that little kiss from the previous episode. Kendall is angry and feels betrayed, but Safowaa maintains her innocence and calls out her sister’s unhealthy obsession with Junior.

Abena supports Kendall because she’s tired of Safowaa being sanctimonious, only to go behind her sister’s back with Junior. And although that’s not how it happened, that’s the story they are sticking to.

Junior visits the house to clear things up but doesn’t meet Safowaa. He sees Kendall and tells her he loves Safowaa.

“The truth is that I kissed her,” he says. “I really, really like your sister.” Then he explains he cares for Kendall as a friend, not the way she wants. But we all know no one takes this message well. She accuses him of leading her on.

“You know, I am not a child. There’s more to me than you see, you shouldn’t have led me on from the very beginning.”

Unlike her sisters, Tessa has decided to stop stressing her mother by agreeing to marry Chris. Abena is happy and immediately stops worrying about the Safowaa-Junior-Kendall love triangle. Chris, who now calls her mother-in-law, has started sending her money for the wedding that will be the talk of the town.

The whole thing feels like a disaster waiting to happen. But who knows, maybe love will reign.

Meanwhile, a strange man keeps calling Abena and it feels like someone from a past relationship. Maybe the girls’ father?
