Law, Love and Betrayal Season 1, episode 3: Fake agent
In the latest episode of Law, Love and Betrayal on Showmax, Ayanda takes on the high-stakes case of a famous influencer battling her agency over a beauty brand. As tensions rise both in and out of the courtroom, personal and professional lives collide. Here’s the recap.
Ayanda takes on the influencer wars

Ayanda’s new client, social media star Noks, is locked in a legal battle with her agency over the rights to her beauty brand, Beats By Noks. The pressure is mounting, and Ayanda advises Noks to stay strong and avoid emotional outbursts. But Noks has already violated an NDA, forcing Ayanda to confiscate her phone to prevent any further damage.
You can take the girl out of Thembisa…

Gugu faces disbelief from her colleague Fez when he finds out she lives in Thembisa. Fez recommends a stylist to Gugu, who’s struggling to keep up appearances.
From negotiations to a media circus

Ayanda hits a dead end in Noks’s case, with even James doubting she can win. But Gugu steps in with a crucial lead, giving Ayanda a way to turn the tide in her client’s favour. But negotiations take a sharp turn when Noks clashes with her agent, then goes live on social media, turning the case into a public spectacle and escalating the conflict into a full-blown legal war.
Gugu and Thabo are not on the same page

Gugu searches for an apartment in Sandton, but her relationship with Thabo hits a rough patch. Thabo feels left out of Gugu’s new life, accusing her of changing since she started working in Sandton.
Courtroom chaos

The Noks vs SOA case kicks off in court, but the presence of Noks’s fans causes chaos. The judge clears the courtroom and postpones the case, frustrating Ayanda. Noks’s thoughtless actions have backfired once again.
Ayanda’s bold gamble pays off

Realising that the legal fight might not go their way, Ayanda advises Noks to leverage her influence. Noks takes the advice and uses her star power to “cancel” SOA, causing the agency to lose clients. Faced with the fallout, SOA quickly backtracks, offering Noks ownership of her brand and dropping the charges.
Gugu and Thabo reconnect

After a tense period, Gugu and Thabo finally find common ground. Thabo gives Gugu his blessing to move to Sandton, easing the strain on their relationship.
Court is adjourned for the week, but stay tuned for more drama and legal battles in Law, Love and Betrayal, with new episodes every Thursday on Showmax.
