Genius S1-2
Get inside the minds of two of the 20th century’s greatest geniuses in this detailed anthology series that doesn’t shy away from the truth.
The first season tells the story of Albert Einstein from his beginnings as a lowly patent clerk struggling to find a teaching position, to achieving success as a world-renowned scientist after developing the Theory of Relativity.
Multiple award winner Geoffrey Rush stars as the older incarnation of Einstein, alongside Emily Watson as Einstein’s second wife and cousin, Elsa.
Next, follow Pablo Picasso as he discovers his talent and becomes one of the world’s most famous artists against the backdrop of the rise of fascism in Spain. Antonio Banderas does a fabulous job as Picasso, while his parade of muses and lovers is played by actresses including Clémence Poésy and Poppy Delevingne.
