Gomora: Teddy’s traumatic experience with Miss Manzi
It’s become clear as day that Miss Manzi is a sexual predator who has sunk her claws into Teddy.
Teddy and Miss Manzi’s storyline has also shed light on the fact that young men and boys are also victims of sexual assault.
A heated coffee date
For weeks, Teddy has been attempting to impress Miss Manzi by improving his grades and doing random acts of kindness. The 19-year-old has caught onto the fact that Miss Manzi likes him, and to keep himself in her good books, he decides to pluck up the courage to ask her out on a coffee date.
Pleased with his request, Miss Manzi agrees to go out on a coffee date with him – little does Teddy know how heated this date is going to be.
Skipping class only to be taken advantage of
We realise how desperate Miss Manzi is to get Teddy in bed with her when she makes the student skip Miss Hlungwani’s detention.
She lies by telling Miss Hlungwani that she needs Teddy for a school-related matter. Although Miss Hlungwani isn’t buying it, she lets Teddy go with Miss Manzi.
Teddy loses his virginity
While an excited Teddy prepares himself for their “coffee date” Miss Manzi unexpectedly asks for a kiss. Before Teddy could answer, he is shoved back into his room.
What we see next is a visibly disturbed Teddy, lying in bed with lipstick smeared on his mouth and neck.
The scene quickly started a debate on social media about how society tends to overlook the men and boys who also get sexually assaulted by those they trust.
