A gripping spin-off of the popular true-crime series, Huisgenoot Ware Lewensdramas: Vlees en Bloed revisits true-life stories that made the headlines from the perspective of the journalists who covered the cases for one of South Africa’s oldest and best-loved publications.

This season, the team reexamines the case of Colin Bouwer Sr and his son, Colin Bouwer Jr, who appeared in court at the same time on different continents for the murder of their respective spouses, and delves into how a quest for freedom led a teenager to do the unthinkable.

They also look at what drove apparently ordinary people like Celiwe Mbokazi, Christopher Watson, Fanie du Preez, and Marius van der Westhuizen to kill, and examine the murders of Charlene October, Vicki Terblanche, and Magistrate Romay van Rooyen, as well as the horrifying death of three-year-old Poppie van der Merwe.
