Igiza episode 8 recap: Truth, lies, riots and bloodshed
All the tension of the past few weeks reaches a fever pitch in Igiza episode 8. Nicole, shaken by the phone call from Musa and caught off guard by Reggie when he confronts her about her stolen notebook, lies to him about experiencing memory issues. Unconvinced, Reggie secretly runs a DNA test and is shocked to discover there’s more to his wife than meets the eye… like the fact that she’s not his wife at all!
Reggie is not the only one to discover the truth about Nicole in episode 8. Senge, ordered by Musa to follow Dom home from prison is dumbfounded to discover Nicole outside of the prison and soon puts two and two together. And Matty, who has suspicions of her own, follows Nicole to see what she’s up to.
In prison, Salome is released from solitary confinement, only to discover that Jamila has overthrown her and is now the “overall.” With her newfound position of power, Jamila orders Linda to kill Salome. “It’s either her or you,” she threatens, passing a knife across the table.
Jamila riles up the prisoners and starts a riot to give Linda a chance to find Salome. Linda manages to hide and calls Reggie, who finally believes that she is indeed his wife, trapped in prison by Nicole’s trickery. But before he can rush to her rescue, he has to deal with a small issue of blackmail by David.
Meanwhile, Matty confronts Nicole about Linda—she knows that Nicole has stolen Linda’s identity and threatens to tell everyone the truth. Nicole can’t let that happen, not when she’s so close to escaping. They fight, and Nicole, to stop Matty from sharing her secret, strangles her.
With the riot still in full swing, Linda is found hiding and forced to follow through with Jamila’s demands. She confronts Salome and strikes a deal. “You don’t kill me, and I don’t kill you,” she says, just moments before she stabs Salome in the back, killing her.
