Igiza episode 9 recap: The beginning of the end
It’s the start of a new day, and the beginning of the end for our crew of complicated characters as their schemes unravel in Igiza episode 9. Having just murdered Matty, Nicole returns home in time to eavesdrop on a meeting between Reggie and David as they plot to steal 100 million from Chris.
After stabbing Salome in the back (literally!), things go from bad to worse for Linda in prison, whose new arch enemy is none other than Jamila—the new “overall.” Reggie knows the truth about how Nicole switched places with Linda, but will he be able to help his true wife get released from prison before Jamila’s threats turn into reality?
Matty’s body is discovered at the boutique, and Nicole is questioned by the police. She puts up a good show pretending to be shocked and even manages to shed a tear for Matty, but it’s not enough to convince the lead detective that she’s completely innocent. It’s time to make her move… get the money and get out of Nairobi!
With the pressure on, Dom and Nicole regroup. Having overheard Reggie and David’s scheme the night before, Nicole has created the perfect game plan: Dom must pretend to be David’s man and collect the cash from Reggie. They escape with 100 million, Reggie takes the fall, and Nicole finally gets her revenge on Linda.
The pick-up takes place, and Dom walks away with the money. As he celebrates getting his hands on the cash, he learns of Salome’s death during the riots in prison. It’s a tragic moment—Don is about to get everything he wants, but then he loses what is most important to him. His mother.
The episode ends as Nicole arrives home… only to discover that Linda is back. “Hello, sis,” she says. “Miss me?”
Well, we don’t want to miss what happens next. Stay tuned to Showmax for the next episode of Igiza on Monday!
