Kelly Khumalo’s fabulous Mozambique getaway
For the past couple of episodes, Kelly has been missing her dear friend Wanda, who is currently enjoying some downtime in her home country of Mozambique. A lot has unfolded in Kelly’s life lately and the singer is eager to share all that has happened since Wanda left.
The final touch-ups before the trip
In true diva style, Kelly heads to a day spa with the birthday girl, Brenda, for some beauty touch-ups before she leaves. At the spa, the two catch up on life and how much they’ve missed Wanda.
Turns out, one of the reasons Wanda isn’t in a rush to return to South Africa is because she’s found herself a man in Mozambique.
“Listen, she’s happy with her newly found sweetheart. People are having a nice time in South Africa, and in Mozambique, sweethearts are everywhere,” jokes Kelly.
A warm official welcome to Mozambique
Kelly arrives and receives a warm welcome from Wanda, who immediately whisks her away to an official meeting with the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Eldevina Materula.
In the meeting, Wanda gives a heartfelt explanation of why she wanted Kelly to visit her home country.
“We celebrate friendship and as a friend I believe it is not right to only celebrate one side or know one side. I think as friends we need to dig deeper and get to know a little bit more about the other person. And my story wouldn’t be complete if she didn’t come to my home,” says Wanda.
After the meeting, the ladies continued with their tour, taking pictures at famous monuments and learning about the history between Mozambique and South Africa.
Beach vibes at Ponta do Oura
Now, it wouldn’t be a true Mozambican experience without some fun at the gorgeous Ponta do Oura beach, would it?
The besties had an amazing time taking pictures, sipping on cosmopolitans and, of course, catching up.
Kelly speaks about her frustration with Christian’s paternal family and that she also has no interest in reaching out to her biological father.
