Last Man Standing: Suge Knight and the Murders of Biggie & Tupac (2021)

The murders of iconic 90s rappers Tupac Shakur and Christopher Wallace – aka Notorious B.I.G. or simply Biggie – are the most controversial in music history. And that’s why acclaimed filmmaker Nick Broomfield is revisiting the tragedies – there’s new evidence against infamous record label boss Suge Knight that’s presented in Last Man Standing: Suge Knight and The Murders of Biggie & Tupac.

After the success of Nick’s 2002 documentary called Biggie & Tupac, which investigates Tupac and Biggie’s assassinations, Last Man Standing goes further and explores ways in which record executive Marion “Suge” Knight might’ve played a role in both deaths.

Last Man Standing is inspired by the fact that Suge is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence for voluntary manslaughter. Nick believes that more people will be willing to disclose information about the record exec because he’s now broke and behind bars.

Nick travels to Los Angeles, where he is accompanied by resident and executive producer Pam Brooks, and they dig into Suge’s relationship with Tupac and Biggie. The pair collect new evidence that proves that Suge was connected to the corrupt cops who were arrested for killing Tupac and Biggie. Through interviews with law officials, former bodyguards, and friends of Tupac and Biggie, Last Man Standing tries to solve the murderous mystery and put the case to bed.
