Legacy S2: Felicity’s romance raises red flags for Dineo

Last week’s episodes of Legacy ended with Felicity and Marco coming face to face at Legacy and Marco feigning ignorance. Now with the two acting like they don’t know each other, Felicity must find a way for Marco’s investigation at Legacy to end. However, Marco is not making this an easy feat as he is determined to get to the bottom of what happened to Darren.

Let’s call it quits…

After the jaw-dropping moment we previously experienced when we found out that Felicity’s new man was investigating Darren’s disappearance, we did not expect things to be smooth sailing for Felicity.

Now, with Dineo worried that Marco won’t leave Legacy out of his investigation, we see Felicity come clean to Dineo about her relationship with Detective Andino. This causes Dineo to further panic as she wonders if Marco is using Felicity to gather information about Darren’s disappearance. Felicity assures Dineo that if that is the case, she will handle the situation.

Staying true to her promise, she goes to Marco and demands that he tell her truth. This leads to a fight about who was truly withholding information from the other regarding their full identities. In the end, the pair decide to end their relationship and move forward in a strictly professional manner.

But wait … I still love you

But this agreement doesn’t hold up for long, as Marco confronts Felicity in the Legacy parking lot and tries to convince her that he was never using her. Marco ends his rant by telling her that he’s falling for her and he can’t let her go.

This moment would have been sweet if we weren’t all biting our nails, anxiously waiting to see if Marco’s intentions are pure or sinister. Somehow, Marco convinces Felicity that the two should start their romance anew, this time laying all their cards on the table. But how can we ask so much of Felicity knowing one of those cards is about a murder?

Marco + Felicity = glaring red flags

When the couple rekindle their relationship during a romantic dinner, Marco comes clean about his life and tells Felicity that the reason he is so invested in this case is because Darren is his brother.

If Felicity was looking for a red flag in her new relationship this one would be bright and glaring. But Felicity, clearly a fan of the colour red, continues her relationship with Marco despite multiple warnings from Dineo that this might cost the both of them.

Felicity ignores Dineo’s concerns about Marco and assures her that as long as none of the evidence surfaces, the two of them are in the clear.

When Felicity and Marco are on the way to a romantic weekend getaway, Marco gets a call from work, asking him to come back to the city. As it turns out, a major piece of evidence does surface — or should we say resurface — when a body is found at the lake.

Marco identifies the body as his brother’s and sobs. Felicity is quick to comfort Marco who is oblivious to the look of worry on Felicity’s face as she watches things quickly unravel before her eyes.
