Legion might not be one of the better known Marvel Comic heroes, but he may be one of the more intriguing. Plus, how many mutants do you know played by stars who got their start in Downton Abbey?
From the very first scene, Legion promised us something different. Mind-bending cinematography. Insanely choreographed episodes; who can forget that epic dance battle scene from Season 2, episode 2? And most of all, it promised us a whole new superhero to explore.
And so we went down the rabbit hole with Legion, following the story of troubled schizophrenic David Haller (Dan Stevens) as he discovered gifts that could not be explained away by doctors and medication.
And of course, you can’t talk about Legion without talking about Aubrey Plaza. Did you know her role of David’s special friend, Lenny Busker, was originally written for a middle-aged man? She steals the limelight in every scene.
Prepare to spend large chunks of the show in bemused but highly entertained confusion.
